Internship: Project Management and Administration

De Sering is looking for two interns for Project Management and Administration.

As an intern you work together with those holding management roles in the team, you ensure that all our projects run smoothly and are a spider in the web. You will support the team in the creation of new systems and structures to allow for the progression of De Sering as a community space and concept.

 

No week is the same and the role has many varied tasks, for example, you might be at the office preparing and sending emails, working on social media, or managing our variety of events. Other tasks include processing invoices, organising caterings, managing the website and supporting your colleagues where necessary.

You will learn what it takes to carry the final responsibility for running this location of De Sering. Many of these fields of responsibility will be covered by others, your task is to keep and understand a total overview of the operation and support staff in their tasks.

What would be the end goal of your time here? If you finish your time within this operation you would have a good understanding of what is necessary to  run a restaurant or community kitchen on your own. You would be well prepared to run an operation outside of cooking and would be provided with skills applicable to a variety of sectors.

What do we expect from you?

• You have an understanding of Microsoft Office and other relevant programs.

• You have an affinity with community spaces, horeca and the cultural sector.

• You are able to adopt a flexible attitude and you are creative in finding solutions.

• You are punctual and can work independently.

• English fluency and basic Dutch skills.

• You receive an internship allowance of €600 per month based on 24 hours per week.

When? The internship starts on a date in consultation in late September/beginning of Ocotber and runs until February 2024. Internships are usually for 5 months, though various lengths are also possible, with consultation. Interns are expected to commit at least 3 days a week to working at De Sering and TestTafel. If you are not a student, but would like to be involved in De Sering, you can also become a volunteer or a member of staff.
