Around the anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse*, every year @fashion_rev encourages fashion activism all over the world. So we’re here to emphasise the importance of slow fashion and making the most of the clothes you have.

This can mean adding elements to give them new life, reworking them to make a whole new garment or repairing the clothes you love dearly.

So, BRING whatever clothes, scraps or anything from your closet and home you want to work on, we will provide the sewing essentials and more unwanted items/material waste to work with.

Come at 18:00, grab dinner and we will guide you with some simple upcycling techniques until 21:00.

*The Rana Plaza collapse was an incident in which 1,134 garment workers were killed and represents the lack of protection and lack of acknowledgement that garment workers receieve. Fashion Revolution is an organisation that advocates for action towards a more justified, transparent and sustainble future for the fashion industry.
