Icon or Item

Icon or Item is a poster + essay series examining how cultural symbols have been commodified or used for political manipulation. This project aims to give insight into how economic and/or nationalistic values influence culture and question our agency in cultural appropriation. The first issue discusses the symbolism of clogs.
