About the event
Last year, visual anthropologists Roos van Leerdam and Anouk Bouma both made a documentary on climate activism for their master degree. By coincidence, they came with a pretty much opposite approach to the topic. Roos’ film, Another World Is Possible, explores the fine line between anxiety and hope through a close encounter with young climate activists who talk about their future imaginations. Anouk’s film on the other hand, All Jokes Aside, focuses on what role humor and fun can play in the rather serious context of civil disobedience and the climate crisis. These films together give us the chance to reflect on the way we do climate activism and why, what we appreciate and what keeps us going.
Both films will be screened on Tuesday the 9th of January at 17:30-19:00 in De Sering.
Afterwards there will be time for questions and discussions with the filmmakers and participants in the film, accompanied with the ever delicious community dinner of the Sering!
We would love to see you there!!
