Doe Normaal: A Gathering for a Night of Audiovisual Entertainment

It’s time to challenge the 'normaal' because what is really normal in today’s world?  

Cenk’s exhibition “Doe Normaal” on the walls of TestTafel (see here) is ending… but really it marks the beginning of something big. Bigger than the art or the artist, the inception of a new community. The ‘Doe Normaal’ collective will bridge the worlds of all sorts of people from different cultures and creative fields, with the goal of creating a space for anyone who is a stranger in this city. Together we will forge a sense of connection and belonging in the greater Amsterdam creative community.  

For the first and launching edition of Doe Normaal, we’re bringing together the visual arts and hypnotising music to get those hips moving. Expect videography & motion installations, fast & funky beats, hard breaks, sexy techno and an increasingly steamy dance floor. Get your sleep because you’re going to go to bed late.  

If you attend, the only expectation is that you “doe normaal”...and what is more ‘normaal’ than coming as you are, no matter how you identify and describe yourself.
